About Me

I am an enthusiastic mental health counselor, bridging my expertise in child psychology and education into a career that focuses on nurturing and guiding individuals and couples toward their path to mental well-being. I bring to the practice a rich academic background from St. Joseph’s College, Long Island University, and Liberty University, where I’ve honed my skills and broadened my understanding of mental health.

My Specialties

My passion lies in helping couples navigate the complexities of their relationships, fostering understanding, communication, and intimacy. I believe that with the right guidance and commitment, every relationship has the potential to thrive. I have experience in providing counseling services for children, teens, and adults alike, creating a safe and compassionate environment where they can navigate their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Soon, I will be extending my services to trauma victims by training in EMDR. I take immense pride in assisting individuals with anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, relationship struggles, and parenting challenges. Additionally, my training in pregnancy and infant loss, military family dynamics, dialectical behavior therapy, and the intersection of nutrition and mental health allows me to offer holistic support to my clients.

What Inspired Me To Be A Therapist

My journey toward becoming a therapist was deeply influenced by the amazing professionals who guided me through various life transitions. Their dedication inspired me and fueled a passion within me to empower others similarly. I returned to school after teaching for many years with a mission to not just help, but transform lives as I was once transformed.

My Approach

As a Gottman-trained therapist, I incorporate the Gottman Method into my practice. This evidence-based approach offers proven techniques and strategies for improving relationships, resolving conflicts, and enhancing emotional connection. I approach individual therapy with a solution-focused mindset, leveraging cognitive behavior therapy modalities to empower individuals to acknowledge, understand, and transform their thoughts and behaviors for a healthier life.

When I'm Not Working, I Like to...

Outside work, my life is filled with family adventures with my son, stepson, and husband. We enjoy traveling, baking together, hiking, swimming, and discovering new shows to watch. When not immersing myself in family activities, I enjoy reading, antique shopping, and the thrill of trying new foods in new cities.

Services I Offer

I offer individual and couples counseling, creating a space where clients can share, heal, and grow. My commitment is to walk with you in your journey, offering professional guidance and support to help you overcome your hurdles and achieve mental wellness.
