I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of New York with a graduate degree in Mental Health Counseling. I have experience providing individual, group, couples and family therapy sessions with individuals who are experiencing life’s stressors, issues with addictions, behavioral issues, depression, anxiety, trauma, schizophrenia and more. This ultimately led to my area of focus and expertise, which includes working with a wide range of mental health needs, which includes PTSD, anxiety and mood disorders. I also assist clients who are struggling with losses, relationships, stress, anger and self-esteem. Furthermore, I am certified in Grief Recovery Method, which is a training designed specifically to assist individuals who wish to heal and cope with loss through group and individual counseling. I am also trained in assisting clients who have symptoms of trauma, utilizing Trauma-Informed Treatment Protocol to assist clients in addressing and coping with trauma in addition to utilizing Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which further alleviates symptoms and emotional distress resulting from disturbing life experiences.

My theoretical orientation is an integrative approach that incorporates humanistic, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral ideologies. This allows me the flexibility to give individualized care that will help my clients. This integrative approach is an opportunity for the client to explore his or her own thoughts and feelings in a safe environment, while exploring the root causes of their core beliefs and learning to challenge them, develop healthy coping tools and feeling a sense of empowerment. Overall, my philosophy as a therapist is to treat each person as a unique individual, worthy of unconditional acceptance, regardless of his or her personal circumstances. It is my commitment to come alongside, challenge, and encourage my clients to be physically, mentally, and emotionally equipped to deal with life stressors, while also developing a deeper understanding of one’s self. Currently I provide services to children, adolescents and adults of all ages and offer individual, couples, and family sessions.
